Sunbonnet Sue Pattern:
Block 6, Rock 'n Roll
America saw a musical
revolution in this decade!
By 1958, teenagers were buying 70% of all records. The man that turned rock and roll into a national pastime was a 21 year old Memphis truck driver named Elvis Presley. Young girls loved him and made his first LP, "Blue Suede Shoes", the best seller on the Billboard magazine's weekly ratings. By 1960, Elvis has sold $120 million worth of records and merchandise. He was clearly the "King of Rock and Roll".
